VOTE for Your Favorite Tenth Annual Alcohol Prevention Poster Contest

Hundreds of Palm Beach County students from 52 different public, private, home and charter schools submitted entries to the 10th Annual Alcohol Prevention Poster Contest. Their posters promote a clear educational message encouraging an alcohol-free lifestyle for youth. The posters were created using both digital and freestyle media.

Select your favorite from among the 15 finalists – vote for one elementary, one middle, and one high school entry. Voting will be open from January 12th – 16th, 2020. You can vote once per day per each email address. We encourage you to share the contest with friends and family and vote in each grade category every day. Three winners will be chosen by our viewers and three winners will be selected by local artists. To vote, click on a category.

Elementary Schools (K - 5th) Middle Schools (6th - 8th) High Schools (9th - 12th)

Things to keep in mind as you vote:

  1. Which posters give the best POSITIVE, no alcohol use message?
  2. Will the poster capture the students' attention?

The top six posters (two each from elementary, middle, and high school) will be displayed on all district school buses and receive $100 each.

Semifinalists and top posters from each school will be featured at the 2020 South Florida Fair from January 17th through February 3rd. You may also vote for the South Florida Fair favorite from the finalists who were not chosen as bus contest winners. Winners will be notified by Friday, January 17th and invited to attend the Awards Ceremony, which is still to be determined.

The contest is in partnership with the Departments of Safe Schools, Communications and Transportation in the School District of Palm Beach County, Rotary Club of Wellington, Boy Scouts Gulfstream Council, Florida SADD and MADD and sponsored by Hanley Center Foundation, Family Center for Recovery, Michael Joseph Brink Foundation, Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, Judy Carreras Scholarship, Palm Beach County Substance Awareness Coalition and South Florida Fairgrounds.
